At first my husband thought Perk was a crock -- why would I spend so much on hot chocolate? But with my most recent shipment, he took half of the bottles to his office! I love how it's a quick breakfast or pick-me-up (physically with the Energy versions or emotionally with the Chill versions), full of protein, and full of flavor. We don't drink coffee, so this is a wonderful substitute to get that burst and warmth when you need it.
Pricing Hacks
If you'd like to try some, get 10% OFF with this link!
Now, I don't want to dismiss that they are a little pricey, but there are some ways that you can combat the pricing a bit:
- They do two big sales each year, Black Friday and Christmas in July. I'll usually wait and stock up around this time.
- Stack your order to get a higher discount if you order more bottles. If you know you love a flavor, why not go ahead and buy more for your storage to get a better discount? 7% off for 2+, 10% off for 3+, 13% off for 4+, 17% off for 6+
- For example, Energy Original Chai Latte is $29.99, 2+ is $27.99 per bottle, 3+ is $26.99 per bottle, 4+ is $25.99, 6+ is $24.99
- Free shipping over $79
- Share shipping costs and order discounts with neighbors
- Try sample packs instead of full bottles to try out flavors
Side note, you’ll want a frother too. You can mix Perk into your water with just a spoon, but it might end up with clumps, like with other powered drinks. It helps mix it up more evenly, so you’re getting the same drink the whole cup-full. Perk has a frother which I just purchased, and it's amazingly powerful. I tried other frothers from Amazon, but the heads would break or it wouldn't charge anymore.
Our Favorite Flavors
My Aunt Rebekah raved about this flavor, but I wasn't sure what to expect. It's now my favorite and I’m going to be heartbroken when I run out in a few days. It reminds me of warm horchata -- cinnamon and creamy.

White Chocolate Peppermint Pretzel
This one is favorite enough that my husband stole it from our most recent shipment to take to work, even though I was running low here at home! We'll have to get a few more bottles next time. It's not too peppermint-flavored where it's pure Christmas, but it's a lovely warm reminder. It's a white chocolate base, so it's not has heavy as the regular chocolate flavors. This is a favorite flavor of Tara from Rad & Happy too!
Available in: Energy, Energy Stick Packs
Dark Chocolate Salted Caramel Pretzel
Chocolate with some special additions. More of a gourmet flavored hot chocolate. It’s not too bitter, but is more on the Dark Chocolate flavoring. Brandon was concerned it would be strange with the pretzel title, but I think that means they just make it a little more savory. Maybe a little extra salt. It’s definitely not overly sweet, but is enough to hit that craving.
Available in: Energy Stick Packs, Energy
Not as good as an Andes mint, but definitely on the same track. I love mint, but my husband doesn't, so this one is all mine. I agree it's the right flavor for Chill, as I'm not sure it would make sense as an Energy flavor.

Not Our Favorite Flavors
Disclaimer: Now, there are plenty of people that like these flavors, they just weren't our favorite. So, before you go buying a bottle of them, here's what to expect!
Creamy Wassail
*Limited Time Flavor*
My husband's family makes wassail every holiday season, but this one just wasn't the same. It's not water-based and more on the milk-creamy side (as it states in the title). It reminded me of an apple pie with ice cream, but towards the end when the ice cream has melted into the pie and it's a big soup. I'm not a big apple fan to begin with either, so it wasn't for me.
Mexican Hot Chocolate
I heard great things about this flavor from a few friends and other influencers (like Betsy Mikesell, CEO of Beddy’s), so I was excited to try it out! Unfortunately, it wasn't for me. Hot chocolate, but with a kick of chili powder. When looking for something to relax me, that extra burn wasn't quite the aftertaste I was looking for.
Available in: Energy, Chill, Non-Dairy Energy, Chill Stick Packs, Non-Dairy Chill, Non-Dairy Energy Stick Packs, Energy Stick Packs, Non-Dairy Chill Stick Packs
Dutch Hot Cocoa
This flavor isn’t bad, it’s just not anything special. If you’re a hot chocolate purist, this would be the flavor to go for, as that’s exactly what it tastes like. But because it’s a basic chocolate, it would be an easy flavor to incorporate into outside recipes as well, things like protein balls or cooking batters.
Available in: Energy, Energy Stick Packs
Dark Chocolate Orange
I had high hopes for this flavor, and it let me down. It's not bad and I will finish the bucket, but it isn't my favorite. It tastes more like chocolate orange jelly sticks rather than a chocolate orange. We took it to my parents' house over Christmas, and no one else particularly liked it either.
Available in: Chill, Chill Stick Packs, Non-Dairy Chill, Non-Dairy Chill Stick Packs
I was hoping to help flavor scrambled eggs or ramen, but I wasn't quite thrilled with the flavoring. It would be perfect for tortilla soup though! Something where you're putting spices in it, instead of looking for a chicken flavor.
Available in: Broth, Stick Packs

Now these are flavors that I have in my cabinets that I haven't gotten to trying yet. Which category do you think they will fall under?
