Minnie Mouse Birthday Party — Create Minnie’s Bowtique

Somehow, my baby turned three this year! She’s the girly-girl and is obsessed with pink, so that was the immediate direction of her party. And she’s also been on a Minnie's Bow-Toons kick, so we decided to mix that right in! And it ended up being the easiest and most put-together party I’ve ever done!

Minnie Mouse Birthday Decor

Background Music and Video

Nothing sets the mood like the right atmosphere! We blasted some Disney Junior Radio on Spotify, and turned Minnie's Bow-Toons on the TV. Of course, we put the show on mute though, because otherwise my kids wouldn't pay attention to our guests at all! The video-only allowed for some distraction and ambiance without taking over the whole party.

Balloon Arch and Streamers

I love to decorate for parties, but I don't love spending a lot of money on it! So most decor comes from the Dollar Tree, like balloons and streamers and plastic tablecloths. Then I shop from my house for other things, like pink buckets and food trays. Luckily white baskets go with most themes, so you can reuse those!

This year I used balloon flower clips to create bunches, and then tied the bunches together with some twine to create a full balloon arch. I used tissue paper poms in different colors and sizes to add some whimsy and off-centered the poms with the balloon arch above our back windows.

Minnie Mouse Party Food

For food prep, I just grabbed anything that was pink or Minnie Mouse related! Things like:

Gwen also loves all things fruit, so I grabbed her favorites from the pantry to share as well. Things like raisins, dried pineapple, etc.

The best part of this food prep was going to Publix with my oldest daughter the night before the party. We saw the juice bottles and knew we needed them. But they were a random assortment on the bottom shelf, stretched all the way to the back. So we both laid on the floor of the grocery store to dig through the pile for all things Mickey and Minnie Mouse. A little gross, but very bonding!

Decorate Your Own Cupcake

Instead of having cupcakes decorated beforehand, we let our guests decorate their own! What started as an energy-saving technique for me, has become our most popular activity! Grab some:

Minnie Mouse Party Activities

Instead of a dedicated schedule for this party, we created centers for kids to pick-and-choose what they wanted to do! All it took was a quick trip to Party City and the Dollar Tree, grabbing everything Minnie Mouse or pink-related! For every party, that's where I start, and then I fill in any activity or craft holes with Amazon and other shops.

Painting Sun Catchers

The online offerings of Minnie Mouse crafting is very different than in-stores! Be sure to start in-store at Dollar Tree for inexpensive options, like these sun catchers I grabbed. Here are some other Minnie Mouse craft options!

Minnie's Bowtique and Salon

I was most excited about the salon station! We gathered nail stickers, hair chalk, Minnie Mouse sunglasses, and some Minnie-themed hair ties! We were going to add nail polish as well, but since we were letting the kids be in charge, we didn't want to deal with extra messes.

Coloring Book Station

While the Minnie Mouse crayons, stickers, and markers were from Dollar Tree, I picked up the coloring book from Party City! Here are some other Minnie Mouse coloring book sources too.

Puzzles and Card Games

Another Dollar Tree find for us, you can find other Minnie Mouse games and puzzles online!

Ready to throw your own party?! Be sure to share any other fun Minnie Mouse activities you used! I love using Etsy for party supplies as well, but I didn't prepare early enough to allow for shipping this year!
