This was the first year I didn't pick our costume theme! I'm usually the one that pushes everyone else, but the kids were in charge this round. We watched "Princess Mononoke" a few times for inspiration, the kids assigned out characters, and we got creating.
While most of our costume pieces are refurbished from thrift store finds, I've included links to directly purchase pieces too, in case you're not crafty or in a time crunch!
Biggest tip with putting together Halloween costumes: It's the small details that matter! Finish the seams if you're sewing. Create bold lines if you're painting. If you look at your costume and it doesn't look right, it's probably missing something! Look again!
