Donut Birthday Party, with Doughnut Crafts, Activities and Printable Invite

The plan was a group birthday party for my oldest two kids. But then we moved cross country suddenly, and the birthday party morphed into a moving party. And instead of crafts and activities, the party turned into more of a hangout for the kids. But instead of just scrapping my donut-party research, I'm sharing resources below for you to throw the best donut themed birthday party!

Our Going Away Party

Our go-to easy party idea lately is setting up the water slide and letting the kids entertain themselves. While the original party idea didn't include the water slide because it didn't fit with the donut theme, with our last-minute move, it's just what happened. The slide will keep them entertained for hours, allowing the adults to chat and snack. The water slide is an investment, but it's been worth it to keep kids busy.

Snacks for the party included donuts from our favorite local bakery, Donut King. Along with lots of fruit and favorite crackers and chips. For summer birthday parties, we make sure to have Otter Pops available, to keep everyone cool in the Florida heat.

Our parting gift to our friends included donut keychains, with a note attached sharing our new address. It was a good way for the kids to share my cell phone number, so that their friends could keep in contact.
