Keeping Yourself Mentally Balanced

 Naturally I have some anxious tendencies. I'm easy to get stressed, and my attitude can turn on you in a moment -- especially when things like caffeine are involved (see LINK).

Mental Health Checklist from Rozie June

A few years ago, Rozie June created these body-positive magazines, and I bought one. In part of a decluttering purge, I went through the magazine and just ripped out individual pages I felt were important. The checklist pictured above is the list. Unfortunately I cannot remember which version. ARE THEY STILL AVAILABLE ON THEIR WEBSITE? This was a checklist that I like to hide around the house and stumble across every few weeks to have new evaluations of where I am. The questions are easy, but so poignant.

  • How are you feeling today? Both physically and mentally. Be honest.
  • What's taking up most of your thoughts right now?
  • What was your last full meal, and have you been drinking enough water?
  • How have you been sleeping?
  • What did you do today that made you feel good?
  • What's something you can do today that would be good for you?
  • What's something you're looking forward to in the next few days?
  • What's something you can do with a friend this week, even if you're apart?
  • What are you grateful for right now?
